Labradorite is truly a fascinatingly beautiful mineral. At first glance Labradorite is a neutral gray stone, but with a slight movement a flash of iridescent blue “labdradorescence” caches your eye.
An Inuit legend tells of a hunter who found the northern lights (aurora borealis) trapped in stone. He struck the rocks with his spear, releasing most of them, but some still remain trapped - leaving us with this beautiful mineral known today as Labradorite.
