Ruby

The red of the ruby is incomparable: warm and fiery. Red is the color associated with love and passion and it radiates warmth and a strong sense of vitality.

The ruby has been valued and held in high esteem for thousands of years.  In Sanskrit the word for ruby is “ratnaraj”, which means something like “king of the gemstones”. 

Ruby is just one of the colors from the multicolor corundum family which also gives us Sapphires in all earthly colors.
